All of us Bombshell Brow Addicts at Bombay Brow Bar know that “perfect brows” are our bible and our eyebrow make-up is our religion. We’re obsessed! But I know sometimes, even though “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”, without some BBB-Brand TLC, the mysterious world of brow makeup can seem more malevolent than magical. That is why we are here! In this article, I will personally diffuse the enigmas of eyebrows, covert you to cosmetics and answer the $23 question on everybody’s mind and face: “What is the secret to perfect brows?”

Now since we are famous for our brows, I’d like to think our brows are a lot like “fame”. Not the musical, but the fact that everyone in Hollywood always looks perfectly groomed and gorgeous. Now, if anyone tells you it’s genetic… girl, they be lyin’. In Hollywood, the motto is “fake it till you make it”, so when we’re talking about brows: if you’ve got hair, if you got no hair, and even if you have those little itty bitty committee hairs, Mama Makeup will solve everything. It gives you the perfect “finished” brow look (No Kanye West interruptions here).

Now, the secret to a perfect brow, be it soft pin-up like Marilyn or a thick defined brow like Audrey’s, the secret was a mixture of make-up and moxie.

First, what a Bombshell would do is groom their brows, making sure it matches up with your features. If you are unsure before the hair removal, the wonderful brow sculptresses at BBB will provide a major brow gossip session (aka consultation)! If you have little longer hairs, brush them, then trim them with manicure scissors. Once you have groomed, via: threading, waxing or tweezing, Bombshells, it’s make-over time!!!

Now this may be the 16 year old who used to sit in front of the mirror for hours on end talking, but if you’re afraid of make-up, there’s no need to be! It’s more afraid of you than you are of it, okay? The fact is, if you put too much on, you can always brush it out with a mascara wand. If it’s not the right shape, q-tips! If it’s not even enough, take a little time. Your face deserves BBB TLC. If you could handle that 30 minute treadmill session, feeding your kids and dashing back to the office for that gargantuan pile of paperwork Cindy didn’t finish for tomorrow, YOU CAN HANDLE THIS!

Use short bush strokes to mimic little hairs and blend gently until you are happy with the coverage and colour. Before applying the brow powder, brush out your brows. After you apply the brow powder, brush it out. And after you apply a small even layer of wax over your brows, brush it out! It’s foolproof. Honey, practice makes perfect.
